Hadden builds support partnership for air ambulance
Hadden Construction is celebrating a landmark anniversary by cementing a ground-breaking support partnership with Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
We are using our 25th anniversary as a launch pad for a two-year commitment to raise cash for the country’s only charity-funded helicopter air ambulance service.
Chairman and founder Scott Hadden explained that the support partnership with the Perth Airport-based life-saving service was their way of “giving back” to benefit communities all across Scotland.
“Our company is active at construction sites across the country,” he said, “and our employees’ safety – both at work and travelling – is very important to us.
“You never know when any one of us might need a service like SCAA – a rapid response helicopter that flies expert paramedic care quickly to the scene to treat those ill or injured and then airlifts them swiftly to hospital.
“SCAA was the unanimous choice of our board when selecting a Scottish charity to support as we mark 25 years in business,” added Scott. “it’s a very special time for us and we want to do something special for SCAA.”
And we’re hoping their suppliers and sub-contractors will support them as they launch a rolling programme of fund-raising activities for SCAA.
Plans are still on-going but early suggestions include a charity golf day, sponsored walk, quiz night and a major Charity Ball to round off the fundraising and silver anniversary celebrations.
Helen MacGregor, regional fundraising manager with SCAA, welcomed what she described as a “fabulous and generous gesture” by the construction company.
“SCAA is funded solely by public donations and to have an industry leader such as Hadden Construction acknowledge and support our work is tremendous.
“We congratulate them on their landmark anniversary and we’re very excited about their plans to raise as much as they can for the country’s only charity-funded air ambulance.
“Hadden Construction’s vision for this partnership will hopefully act as a blueprint for other companies to work with their staff and SCAA for the benefit of everyone in Scotland and we can’t thank them enough for their support.”
